Science
One of the requirements of my Chemistry course has been to write a website with pages and articles on the different units we have been studying. These are informal essays, written in a more "spoken" vernacular. Nevertheless, I've reproduced them here.
"Analyzing an Element: Divining the Empirical and Molecular Formula" - This is probably the least interesting science paper I've written, but one does not judge the value of a paper on the "interestingness" of the content. Rather, judge it by the depth and clarity of its explanations.
"Introduction to Quantum Mechanics" - Here I outline and correct three common misconception about the nature of the atom.
"Quantum Numbers: the Address of the Electron" - This is my attempt at a thorough explanation of the four basic quantum numbers, what they mean and how they work. The relevant concepts aren't as incomprehensible as they might seem; I taught them to my Chemistry class, and they all seemed to get the basic idea.
